Privacy Policy

The short version: Your invoices, receipts, and the files you rename never leave your device. The renaming all happens in your own browser — we never receive, see, or store your documents. The only data we handle is what's needed to run a Pro account and keep the site working, explained below.

This Privacy Policy explains how TidyFello (“TidyFello”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use our website and app at tidyfello.com (the “Service”). We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

1. Your files stay on your device

TidyFello renames invoices and receipts entirely inside your web browser. Your files, their contents, and the names we suggest are processed locally on your own device and are never uploaded to us or anyone else. We have no copy of them and no way to access them. This is the core of how TidyFello works, and it isn't going to change.

2. What we do collect

There are a few limited places where some information is involved — none of which include your documents:

Pro account details. If you create an account to use Pro, we store your email address and a securely hashed password through our authentication provider, Supabase. We can never see your actual password.
Account preferences. For signed-in users we store your settings (such as naming preferences and column layout) so they're remembered between visits.
Payment information. Pro subscriptions are handled by Lemon Squeezy, who act as the Merchant of Record. We never see or store your card details. Lemon Squeezy processes your payment and provides us only with what's needed to manage your subscription (such as your subscription status). Anonymous usage analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — for example, how many people rename files or click a button. This measures counts and actions, never the content of your files.
Account-deletion records. If you delete your account, we keep a minimal record (your email, the date, and that you confirmed the deletion) so we can resolve any later billing query. We do not keep your files, preferences, or other account data.

3. How we use information

We use the limited information above only to: provide and maintain your Pro account; process and manage subscriptions through Lemon Squeezy; remember your preferences; understand overall usage to improve the Service; and respond to you if you contact us. We do not sell your information, and we don't show ads.

4. Sharing

We share information only with the service providers needed to run TidyFello — Supabase (accounts), Lemon Squeezy (payments), and Google Analytics (anonymous usage) — and only as needed for those purposes. We may also disclose information if required by law.

5. Data retention

We keep account information for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, your profile and preferences are removed, and your Pro subscription is cancelled at the same time. We retain the minimal account-deletion record described above.

6. Your rights

You can access or correct your account information, or delete your account at any time from within the app. If you'd like help, or want to ask what information we hold, contact us at hello@tidyfello.com.

7. Children

TidyFello is intended for business and personal record-keeping by adults and isn't directed at children.

8. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and post the new version here. If anything ever changes about how data is handled, we'll keep this policy accurate — that honesty is central to what TidyFello is.
